A Brazilian influencer was recently stopped from boarding a flight after arriving at the airport dressed in nothing but a bikini and a bright blue wig.
Known online as Kine-Chan, the social media personality shared her frustration on Instagram, claiming officials told her the outfit “wasn’t appropriate” for airline travel.
The incident took place in August at Navegantes Airport in southern Brazil. While Kine-Chan originally posted about it at the time, her story has since resurfaced and gone viral as interest in the situation grew worldwide.

“A very annoying situation happened this weekend!” the 21-year-old wrote beneath a series of photos showing her walking confidently through the departures area.
She explained that she was dressed as Rebecca, a character from the popular anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and was headed to a cosplay convention.
“I already knew I might be late, so I got dressed so as not to waste time and be able to go straight to my destination,” she said. “But I was told to go home and change my clothes because what I was wearing was not appropriate.’”

Kine-Chan, who has more than 670,000 followers on Instagram, didn’t reveal which airline she was flying with, so it’s unclear whether she violated any specific dress code policies.
One photo posted to her account shows her speaking with two airline officials at the gate shortly before being turned away.
In the comments section, fans were divided. While many expressed support, others felt the airline made the right call.
“I’m glad it was blocked,” one wrote. “Ne respectful of other people… This is no place to wear lingerie or a bikini.”
Another added, “I love you, but for God’s sake… you could have worn something easy to take off over it, like a strapless dress or even a button-down blouse.”
Some critics went further, accusing the influencer of pulling the stunt purely for attention.
“Congratulations to the airport team, but we know that this was a strategy to get out in the media and hype your Instagram account, a good strategy despite being extremely vulgar and disrespectful towards other people,” one commenter wrote.
